Who we are
KYCH operates under Afosi, Action for Sustainability Initiative, blending over a decade of evidence-based development with youth-first design.
We connect young Kenyans aged 15 to 35 to climate finance, skills, policy spaces and innovation opportunities in every county.

Our story
How we got here
- 2020
KYCH is founded
Set up under Afosi, Action for Sustainability Initiative, to connect young Kenyans to climate finance, skills and policy spaces.
- 2023
BeGreen Africa Kenya pilot
2,264 young people aged 18–35 apply to build green waste businesses, with pitching events in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa.
- 2025
Youth Climate Innovation Challenge
300 young innovators enter with solutions for informal settlements, competing for a KES 500,000 prize pool.
- 2025
BeGreen results are in
By July 2025 the pilot had created 846 jobs and funded 146 young entrepreneurs with grants of up to USD 5,000.
- 2026
The hub speaks three languages
The platform now works in English, Kiswahili and French, including live funding calls, events and county weather alerts.
